What we do

We help. We don't decide.

Our cutoffs, predictions, and shortlists are guidance based on historical data. Final admission decisions belong to colleges and exam boards — not us.

What you do

Give us accurate information.

The quality of our recommendations depends entirely on the quality of the data you enter. Don't fudge your scores — you'll only mislead yourself.

What's fair

One account. Per student.

Don't share accounts. Don't scrape our platform. Don't pretend to be someone you aren't. Use HallTicket like a tool, not a loophole.

§ 01

Acceptance of terms.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a legal agreement between you and HallTicket Technologies Private Limited ("HallTicket", "we", "us"). By creating an account, accessing our website, or using any feature of our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use HallTicket. If you are using HallTicket on behalf of a minor (a student under 18), you confirm that you are their parent or legal guardian and that you accept these Terms on their behalf.

These Terms work together with our Privacy Policy. Read both before signing up.

§ 02

What HallTicket provides.

HallTicket is an admissions-discovery platform that helps engineering aspirants in India match their exam scores against the colleges most likely to admit them. The current core features are:

  • ResultReview — entering your percentile / rank against historical cutoffs to estimate likely, strong, and reach colleges.
  • College Search — filtering 600+ engineering colleges by exam, location, fees, branch, and other criteria.
  • Document Dockets — packaging your uploaded documents per the requirements of each exam (CAP, JoSAA, etc.).
  • Reminders — deadline notifications via email and (opt-in) WhatsApp.

We continuously improve the platform. New features may be added, and existing features may be modified or removed. We will give reasonable notice of any material change that affects paid subscribers.

Important · The data is guidance, not a guarantee

Our cutoff data is sourced from official CAP and JoSAA records. Cutoffs change every year. A "Strong" prediction means your score is comfortably above last-year's bar — not that admission is guaranteed.

§ 03

Eligibility & accounts.

You may use HallTicket if:

  • You are at least 16 years old, OR
  • You are a parent / guardian creating an account on behalf of a student under 16, OR
  • You are a student aged 16–17, with a parent / guardian who has provided consent.

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information when registering.
  • Keep your login credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
  • Notify us promptly at support@hallticket.in if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.
  • Use one account per student. Do not share accounts between siblings or friends — the personalisation breaks down and the recommendations stop being relevant.
§ 04

Acceptable use.

You agree not to:

  • Reverse-engineer, scrape, copy, or otherwise extract our cutoff data, predictions, or platform content for resale or redistribution.
  • Use bots, scripts, or automated systems to access HallTicket without our written permission.
  • Upload documents that do not belong to you, or impersonate another student or parent.
  • Submit false or misleading academic data with the intent to manipulate predictions or affect other users.
  • Attempt to access another user's account, data, or documents.
  • Use HallTicket for any purpose that violates Indian law, infringes on others' rights, or could harm minors.
  • Probe, scan, or test the security of our platform without prior written authorisation.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these rules, with or without notice.

§ 05

Subscriptions & payment.

HallTicket offers a Free plan and a Pro subscription. Pricing and feature details are listed on our Pricing page and may be updated from time to time.

  • Pro is one-time, per admissions cycle. A single payment unlocks Pro features for the duration of the cycle (typically March–August for JEE/MH-CET counselling).
  • Prices are in INR and inclusive of applicable GST.
  • Payments are processed by third-party payment gateways (Razorpay, Stripe, or equivalent). We do not store your card details on our servers.
  • By purchasing Pro, you authorise us to charge the listed amount via your selected payment method.

If a payment fails, your account will remain on the Free plan until payment is successfully completed. We may temporarily restrict access to Pro features during failed payment recovery.

§ 06

Cancellations & refunds.

We want you to feel good about paying for HallTicket Pro. Our refund policy:

  • 7-day refund window — if you've purchased Pro and decide it isn't useful within 7 days, email support@hallticket.in for a full refund. No questions asked.
  • After 7 days, refunds are issued at our discretion and only for verified service issues (e.g., extended platform outage, demonstrably incorrect cutoff data that affected your decision).
  • Refunds are processed within 7–10 business days via the original payment method.
  • You may downgrade to the Free plan at any time. Downgrading does not entitle you to a partial refund of the Pro subscription.
Cycle-based refunds

Because Pro is sold per admissions cycle (not per month), refund eligibility is calculated against the cycle's start date — not your individual purchase date — for purchases made after the 7-day window.

§ 07

Intellectual property.

All content on HallTicket — software, design, branding, copy, illustrations, cutoff databases, prediction models — is owned by or licensed to HallTicket Technologies Pvt. Ltd., and is protected by Indian and international copyright, trademark, and database-rights laws.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use HallTicket for personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms.

You may not:

  • Republish, redistribute, or commercially exploit any HallTicket content.
  • Use HallTicket's name, logo, or branding without our prior written consent.
  • Build derivative products using our cutoff data, prediction outputs, or college rankings.

Cutoff and seat-matrix data is sourced from publicly available CAP and JoSAA records. The compilation, structure, and predictive modelling layered on top are HallTicket's intellectual property.

§ 08

User content.

You retain all rights to the content you upload to HallTicket — your marksheets, ID proofs, photos, exam scores, and personal information. You do not transfer ownership of these to us.

By uploading content, you grant HallTicket a limited licence to store, process, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing our services to you. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account.

You confirm that all content you upload is genuine, accurate, and that you have the right to upload it. You are solely responsible for the legality and accuracy of any content you provide.

§ 09

Disclaimers — read carefully.

HallTicket is a decision-support tool, not a guarantee of admission. We are very explicit about this:

  • Cutoff data is historical. Future cutoffs depend on exam difficulty, applicant pool, seat matrices, and reservation rules — all of which change every year.
  • "Strong", "Likely", and "Reach" classifications are statistical estimates, not promises.
  • Final admission decisions are made solely by colleges, universities, and authorities like DTE Maharashtra, JoSAA, and individual institutions. HallTicket has no role in these decisions.
  • Eligibility for specific quotas (state-domicile, EWS, OBC, SC/ST, Defence, etc.) is determined by the exam authority — not by our platform. Always verify with official sources.
  • Document Dockets help you assemble required documents but do not constitute legal verification of those documents. You are responsible for ensuring all your documents meet the exam authority's requirements.

The platform is provided "as is" and "as available", without any warranty — express or implied — of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.

§ 10

Limitation of liability.

To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, HallTicket and its team shall not be liable for:

  • Any admission decision made by a college or exam authority, regardless of what our platform predicted.
  • Loss of admission opportunity due to incorrect data entry by you, missed deadlines despite reminders, or technical issues outside our reasonable control.
  • Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of opportunity, emotional distress, or reputational harm.
  • Inaccuracies in cutoff data, college details, or seat-matrix information beyond what is reasonably expected of a publicly-sourced dataset.

Our total aggregate liability to you, for any claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms, shall not exceed the amount you paid HallTicket in the 12 months preceding the claim, or ₹2,000 INR, whichever is lower.

§ 11

Termination.

You may delete your account at any time via account settings or by emailing support@hallticket.in. Deletion is processed within 30 days, subject to our data retention policy.

We may suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, if:

  • You materially violate these Terms or our Acceptable Use rules.
  • You engage in fraudulent activity or misuse our platform.
  • We are required to do so by law or by a regulatory authority.
  • We discontinue HallTicket entirely (in which case we will provide reasonable advance notice and pro-rata refunds for active Pro subscriptions).

Sections 7 (IP), 9 (Disclaimers), 10 (Liability), and 12 (Governing law) survive termination.

§ 12

Changes & governing law.

We may update these Terms periodically. Material changes will be communicated by email and an in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of HallTicket after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms — that we cannot resolve through good-faith discussion — shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Pune, Maharashtra.

Before initiating any legal action, you agree to first contact us at support@hallticket.in and give us 30 days to attempt resolution. We've found that most disputes are misunderstandings, and we'd rather fix them than fight them.
